उपनिषद रहस्य- एकादशोपनिशद Upnishad Rahasya - Ekadashopnishad By: Mahatma Narayan Swami

उपनिषद् शब्द का एक अर्थ ‘ रहस्य ‘ भी है । उपनिषद् अथवा ब्रह्म विद्या अत्यन्त गूढ़ होने के कारण साधारण विद्याओं की भाँति हस्तगत नहीं हो सकती , इन्हें ‘ रहस्य ‘ कहा जाता है । इन रहस्यों को उजागर करने वालों में महात्मा नारायण स्वामीजी का नाम उल्लेखनीय है । उपनिषदों में ब्रह्म और आत्मा की बात इतनी अच्छी प्रकार से समझाई गई है कि सामान्य बुद्धि वाले भी उसका विषय समझ लेते हैं । महात्मा नारायण स्वामीजी ने अनेक स्थानों पर सरल , सुबोध तथा रोचक कथाएँ प्रस्तुत कर इन्हें उपयोगी बना दिया है । वास्तव में उपनिषदों में विवेचित ब्रह्मविद्या का मूलाधार तो वेद ही हैं । इस सम्बन्ध में महर्षि दयानन्दजी कहते हैं- ” वेदों में पराविद्या न होती , तो ‘ केन ‘ आदि उपनिषदें कहाँ से आतीं ? ” आइए ग्यारह उपनिषदों के माध्यम से मानवीय भारतीय चिन्तन की एक झाँकी लें ।

The word Upanishad means the setting down of the disciple near his teacher in a devoted manner to receive instruction about the Highest Reality which loosens all doubts and destroys all ignorance of the disciple.
